OAK is an extremely hard wood with an open grain pattern. The pattern may vary from a tight to wide pattern with a coarse texture. In oak's natural state, colors may range from brownish with a red tinge to a light yellow. When a light finish is applied, these variations are visible and should not be considered a defect.
