BIRCH  is a hardwood that is straight grained with a fine even texture. In Birch's natural state, colors
range from a creamy white to a light yellow to a reddish brown. It resembles maple and is often used interchangeably for it. When a light finish is applied these variations are visible and should not be considered
a defect.
